EDUARD GUREVICH

Eduard Gurevich, born in Dnepropetrovsk Ukraine in 1947 and learned how to paint from a young age. Gurevich studied art in the famous art Schools of Ukraine. In 1990 he moved to Israel and continued his painting career in full swing. Eduard Gurevich has a mission to accomplish through his art; previous generations and the rich Jewish life in Europe should not be forgotten. He focuses on painting Shtetl scenes straight out of Poland, when Judiasm flourished over there. He views his works as part of a Memorial of what was, and was destroyed in the Holocaust.

Eduard Gurevich’s paintings are realist scenes with rich yet muted colors. His inner heart is evident in his works, and many feel the Jewish pulse when viewing his art.  The dream of Eduard Gurevich is that people throughout the world could appreciate the beauty and the wisdom of Judaism and Israel through his art. He participated in many international exhibitions and his works are in numerous private collections in Germany, Canada, USA, France, Russia and Israel.
